Every brief costs ₦13,000 per area — a ₦3,000 search fee and a ₦10,000 refundable deposit. The search fee is non-refundable because it immediately activates an agent search on your behalf. The deposit is fully refundable if no suitable property is found within 7 days.
No match in 7 days — your full ₦10,000 deposit is automatically refunded to the card or account used for payment within 3–5 business days.
Deal closes — your deposit is credited toward the agency fee (10% of annual rent). If the deposit exceeds the agency fee, the remainder is refunded.
You cancel before an agent is assigned — your deposit is refunded within 3–5 business days. The search fee is non-refundable.
The ₦3,000 search fee — this covers the cost of activating an agent and is non-refundable once your brief is submitted and an agent begins searching.
Agency fees paid after a deal closes — once rent has been confirmed and keys exchanged, the transaction is final.
If you believe a refund was incorrectly withheld, contact us at support@houserun.ng with your brief reference number. We aim to resolve all disputes within 48 hours.
Refunds are initiated within 24 hours of eligibility being confirmed. The time for funds to appear in your account depends on your bank — typically 1–5 business days for Nigerian bank accounts.
